Capacity building of parliamentary oversight of the security and defence sector: Study visit to Estonia

During February  9 to 12, 2014, a delegation of representatives of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defence and Public Order, together with the representatives of civil society from the Republic of Moldova , will visit Estonia in order to familiarize them with the best practices on parliamentary scrutiny of the security and defence sector. The delegation will attend  the parliamentary hearings within the National Defence Committee of the Estonian Parliament, will participate in a roundtable with the representatives of the  civil society working in the field of security and defence and will follow the presentation of a study about the integrated system of  security and defence of Estonia.

The visit is organized within the project “Capacity building of parliamentary oversight of the security and defence sector “, implemented by NATO Information and Documentation Center in the Republic of  Moldova, in partnership with the Estonian Atlantic Treaty Association and the Commission of National Security, Defence and Public Order of  the Republic of Moldova  and the National Defence Committee of Estonia.The project is financed by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the funds for development and humanitarian cooperation.
