ISI experts visit on the gender dimension

In the context of the implementation of Resolution 1325 of the Security Council of the United Nations concerning women’s role on peace and security (Resolution 1325) during the current period November 30 – December 4, IDC NATO in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence organizes the visit of the experts from the Institute for Inclusive security (ISI) from Washington DC in Moldova.

Also, we inform you that the implementation of the Resolution 1325 can be found in: the Plan of Action for the implementation in the period 2013-2015 of the National Program for ensuring gender equality for the period 2010-2015 and in the Government Action Plan for the years 2015-2016.

ISI experts purpose of the visit is to identify the needs of the institutions from the security and defense sector involved in the process of development of self-evaluation on gender dimension and joint planning of future activities. ISI has an extensive experience in providing expertise and resources to design, implement and evaluate national action plans, the implementation of UNSCR 1325.

During the visit, the ISI experts have had separate meeting with the decision makers within state institutions, national and international organizations such as: OSCE, UN WOMEN, Women Democracy Network, Gender Centre, Women Business Association, also took place a joint meeting of inter-institutional working group.
