The Information and Documentation Center on NATO in Moldova (IDC NATO) implements, in May-October 2021, the project “Support for the independent press and strengthening resilience to disinformation”. Thus, on August 20, was organized a brainstorm on the theme “Security between stereotypes and realities” in which representatives of state institutions as the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Ministry of Interior and the Intelligence and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova all participated.
During the event, the security and defense stereotypes identified by experts from academia, media and civil society during the July 23 brainstorming were analyzed or reformulated. These stereotypes refer to the supply of Soviet heritage, the diversion of the concept of neutrality of the Republic of Moldova, cooperation with NATO, the Tansnistrian conflict etc.
The aim of the project is to select the ten most common security and defense stereotypes that will be denied in a brochure.
This project is implemented with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Moldova and is funded under the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Program.
