Security perspectives by the time of the 10th Anniversary of the Largest Round of NATO Enlargement

On March 14 IDC NATO from the Republic of Moldova organized a public lecture on “Security perspectives by the time of the 10th Anniversary of the largest Round of NATO Enlargement”. The event was organized at the Faculty of International Relations and Political Science from the State University of Moldova and was officially opened by the dean of t his faculty Mt. Alexander Solcan. The special guest of the event was Mr. Iulian Chifu, Romanian Presidential Adviser who presented information on security perspectives through the experience of Romania as a NATO member and importance of partnership for building a complex security system.
The event brought together more than 100 students who were fully engaged in the discussion and addressed a lot of questions to Mr. Iulian Chifu. Most of the questions were related to the security system and the neutrality status of the Republic of Moldova. Students also expressed a particular interest to the situation in the Ukraine, making parallels with the situation in the Republic Moldova. During the event Ms. Elena Mârzac, director of IDC NATO, expressed profound gratitude to the Faculty of International Relations and Political Science from the State University of Moldova and Mr. Iulian Chifu for their willingness and readiness to organize and take the part in such events. At the same time, Ms. Elena Mârzac encouraged the participants of this public lecture to be more responsive and actively participate in activities that are aimed to expand horizons in security matters.
