The International Conference “The Republic of Moldova in the context of the new architecture of regional security”
On the 15th of May this year, within the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Moldova, was held the conference “The Republic of Moldova in the context of the new architecture of regional security”. The event was organized by the Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun” in cooperation with the Center for Strategic Studies in Security and Defence and the Documentation and Information Center on NATO. The opening speech of the international conference was delivered by the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Viorel Cibotaru. The Minister was followed by Mr Alexei Barbăneagră, presidential counselor in the domain of defence and national security and the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Security and Defence of the Country and the colonel Mihail Bucliş – the dean of the military academy“Alexandru cel Bun”, who greeted the public and delivered communications.
During the communications and the debates that followed after, were approached a series of topics related to the current situation of regional security, such as: the conflict from Ukraine, the situation from Transnistria, the hybrid war, the new strategic concept of NATO, etc.
