Documentation and Information Center on NATO in Moldova (IDC NATO) in cooperation with NATO and EU Information Center in Georgia, held on October 13 roundtable “Perception NATO and the EU in Moldova and Georgia. Achievements and Challenges “Ms Mariam RAQVIASHVILI occasioned by the visit, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Euro-Atlantic integration; Ms Hellenic GOTSADZE Director NATO and EU Information Centre in Georgia; Mr. Tornike NOZADZE, Head of the Strategic Communication, Office of the Minister of State and S.E. Mr. Merab ANTADZE, Georgia’s ambassador to Moldova.
Topics discussed at the event focused on ways to combat propaganda through institutional approaches, long-term strategies, creating a coordinated agenda between civil society, the state and its institutions.
Mr. Viorel Cibotaru tackled the consequences of church and state trust, the effects of this phenomenon. In turn, Mrs. Alla Rosca stressed the role of the media in informing citizens, its use in order to manipulate and influence media institutions in the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova.
Additionally, Ms. Elena Marzac presented IDC NATO, objectives, mission, activities started, and the problems caused by the lack of cohesion in the Moldovan society.
