An Information and Documentation point on has been opened at FIUM
On the 16th of September an Information and Documentation Point on NATO has been inaugurated within the FIUM. Pe data de 16 septembrie a avut loc inaugurarea Punctului de Informare NATO din cadrul ULIM. The event has been organized by the Information and Documentation Centre on NATO in partnership with the Free International University of Moldova and with the Cooperation and Coordination Agency of the Turkish Government, TIKA.
The event has been attended by several representatives of the foreign embassies in Chisinau, such as the embassy of Turkey, of Bulgaria (NATO Contact Point Embassy in the Republic of Moldova), as well as Lithuanian, Slovakian, French and Romanian. Joining these diplomatic representatives was Mihai Carp, – Deputy Head of the Crisis Management Section of the NATO HQ Operations Division, and Despina Afentouli – Officer of the Public Diplomacy Division of NATO, together with local experts and representatives of the media. Several speeches were told on this occasion, including those of Andrei Galben – the FIUM provost, Despina Afentouli H.E. Mr Mehmet Selim Kartal, Ambassador of Turkey .
On this occasion the IDC on NATO signed a partnership with the FIUM, in order to maintain the collaboration between these two institutions on public diplomacy activities in the future. After the ceremony has ended, a presentation was held by mr Mihai Carp.
