Film projection “Headquarters”

On October 31, the Information and Documentation Centre on NATO in Moldova organized the film projection “Headquarters” at Gaudeamus cinema. The artistic movie has provided an insight into how NATO operates in the context of a security crisis.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Romania, His Excellency Mr. Marius Gabriel Lazurca and the Ambassador of Slovakia, His Excellency Mr. Robert Kirnag. The representatives of the two NATO member countries spoke about the experience of Romania and Slovakia during their accession to NATO, and about the benefits of cooperation with NATO. After broadcasting the movie, high school and university students from Chisinau, namely the Free International University from Moldova, the Moldovan State University,  the University of European Studies of Moldova, as well as the civil society representatives who took part at the event had the opportunity to talk with ambassadors about what NATO is, and what is the importance of Moldova-NATO cooperation. The guests who participated at the event also had the opportunity to attend the caricature exhibition “The perception of NATO in Moldova:  Between Myth and Reality”. The event took place within the „Security for You(th)” project, implemented by IDC on NATO with the support of the NATO Public Diplomacy Division.
