Presentation by Viorel Cibotaru at the FIUM

The NATO Information and Documentation Centre, organized on Tuesday, 28th of October a public lecture, held by Viorel Cibotaru, the director of European Institute for Political Studies. The lecture was held at the NATO lecture hall (716), of  the Free International University of  Moldova (FIUM). The event also attended by Nicolae Țâu  – the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, now pro-rector of FIUM, as well as professors Mihai Cernencu and Viorica Țîcu.

 

In his speech, Mr. Cibotaru has touched three subjects: 1) The history and the evolution of the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance  2) The history and evolution of  the bilateral relations between Moldova and NATO  3) The necessity of cooperation between our country and NATO in relation with the  threats to the Eastern Europe security. Next after his speech, the questions and answers section followed. The colaboration perspectives between Moldova and NATO, the future of  North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and that of the security in Europe have also been discussed.

The event was held in the framework of the  ”Security for You(th)” Project  that the Information and Documentation Centre on NATO is currently implementing.
