Public lecture “Georgia’s path to NATO”

During May-July, IDC on NATO is implementing the project entitled “Speaker Tour: NATO agenda towards Warsaw Summit 2016”, which represents a series of public events aimed at bridging the gap between NATO and the population from the Republic of Moldova. It allows for direct engagement of Moldovan public in security, defense and NATO-Moldova Partnership discourse.

On this occasion, IDC on NATO, is organizing Public lecture “Georgia’s path to NATO”. Speaker at the activity will be Mr Zurab Agladze, Lecturer in Georgia Institution of Public Affairs GIPA, Member of Atlantic Council of Georgia.

Zurab Agladze graduated from the Military Academy, Georgia, Bachelor’s degree in history, his Master’s degree in Strategic Studies, at Columbia University, USA, currently is working on his PHD at Georgia Institution of Public Affairs GIPA. Mr. Zurab is Lecturer in Georgia Institution of Public Affairs GIPA. During his career he had the position of Rector of the National Defense Academy of Georgia; Chief of safety and security department “Dexus” investment & Development Management; Chief of Education Department of Joint Staff; Land Forces Commander; Commander of V brigade; Senior National representative in the headquarter of coalition forces (Baghdad); Deputy Commander of Infantry II brigade; Battalion Commander “Sachkhere”. He started his career as Leader of Peacekeeping operations training center defense and support company automatic grenade launcher platoon. He received the following awards: Medal, “For Excellent service in the system of Georgian Defense Ministry”, “Bronze Star” USA, “Medal for Courageous Service”.

Activity will be held on 11th May at 14:00, IDC on NATO HQ, Banulescu Bodoni street, 2A.
