Study visit for journalists in Kosovo
Information and Documentation Centre on NATO in Moldova and Ministry of Defence are implementing the project “Capacity building training for journalists: Reflecting security related issues and practical cooperation between NATO and Moldova”.
Through this project’s activities local journalists, media representatives as well as public relations officers from military units benefited from hands-on practice and tutoring from media experts working at NATO HQ, as well as from representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from leading national and international experts. Trough project activities we shaped perception of security and defence related issues and NATO image.
The final part of this project consists of a Study visit at Kosovo, during the perioad 27-29 September 2015. The most-motivated and proactive journalists during the training period were offered a Study visit in Kosovo. The goal of this visit will be to familiarize them with the actual conditions under which Moldova is participating in the NATO-led KFOR mission in Kosovo. Thus the group of Moldovan journalists will visit the Italian base “Camp Villagio” where Moldovan troops are currently based.
Upon their return, they will have the possibility to reflect Moldova’s participation in KFOR mission in Kosovo with impartiality and greater objectivity. The group from the Republic of Moldova is composed of 10 persons (journalists and representatives of IDC on NATO).
