“The National Security of The Republic of Moldova in the context of regional challenges” Nation Inter-Universitary Conference
On the 14th of November, the IDC on NATO, together with the Free International University of Moldova, organized a conference on the topic “The National Security of The Republic of Moldova in the context of regional challenges.”
The event was held at the Free International University of Moldova and was attended by students of Moldovan universities and international professors – Mr. Radu Ungureanu, from IR Professor at the National School of Political Sciences and Public Administration from Bucharest, Romania and Mr. Yurii Temirov, IR professor at the State University of Donetsk, Ukraine.
The opening session started with the speech of Mr. Nicolae Ţîu – vice rector of FIUM, and Ms. Elena Mîrzac – the executive director of the IDC on NATO. The plenary session was moderated by Ms. Alla Roşca, a founding member of the IDC on NATO.
During the plenary session Mr. Radu Ungureanu held a lecture on the topic concerning “Hegemonic models and counter models in the management of European security”, while Mr. Yurii Temirov had a presentation on the topic of “Origins of Ukrainian crisis: the Donbass dimension. Takeaways for neighboring countries”
The conference had three panels:
1. ”National Security: Opportunities, constrains and options”
2. ”Enviormental involvements of security over national security”
3. ”Mechanisms and Institutions of ensuring regional and international security”
The winners were awarded with books on security related topics. All materials from the conference will be published in the compendium “The National Security of The Republic of Moldova, in the context of regional challenges”
